Author/Anime Color Palette Series: George x Alphonse Elric

Welcome to my author/anime color palette series! Where my obsession with hex codes and middle grade/graphic novels come together. I'll break down an author's photo color palette and which animated character they remind me of.

George Jreije's, @ByGeorgeJreiji, soon-to-be published debut novel, Shad Hadid and the Alchemists of Alexandria, journeys alongside twelve-year-old Shad Hadid, "an aspiring baker who’s life is uprooted when he discovers he’s descended from a long line of alchemists and sent to the mysterious Alexandria Academy." Click link for more details on Goodreads. HarperCollins bought the two-book deal from Azantian Literary. Book one is scheduled for release 2022 with the untitled sequel to follow 2023.

What's George's author color palette like?

Hex codes include: lapis, clouded, blood bond, and glass pine.

With Jreije's alchemy adventure hitting the shelves, Fullmetal Alchemist immediately came to mind. Plus George's fondness for baking easily comps the personality of Alphonse "Al" Elric, younger brother to protagonist Edward Elric — and the result of Human Transmutation gone horribly wrong. Al, despite being younger, tends to keep his older brother in check with plenty of teasing and a higher level of sensibility. His greatest wish is to taste food again, journaling about the many delicious dishes he plans on eating once he and his brother find the Philosopher's Stone to return both of their bodies to normal.
