Writer Stuff
On top of producer fun, I love to write!
I've worked on script development, game manuals, and copywriting for studios and clients when a bit of storytelling flare is required.
Independently, I write supernatural / horror screenplays, graphic novels, and YA.
I call it 'BABY HORROR' -- that warm, fuzzy feeling you have when you're enjoying that horror movie with your eyes closed.

1 / Werewolves
Middle grade graphic novel -- 12-year-old Noelle "Elly" Käse is in for a major transition if she can't stop werewolves, and occult thieves, from infesting her family shop at the full moon festival.
2 / Demons
Upmarket YA -- Zadie Schmidt's been living a lie. At 15yo, she'll need to exorcise her half-demon brother, and become a demon slayer herself, to confront the very rogue parents who abandoned her and betrayed the slayer organization meant to protect humanity from an otherworldly warring demon clan.

writing in the studio
"Studio Run" a Rive-based runner game by Little Labs
role: producer + writer
Pre-production initial set-up and testing.
The team and I brainstormed on the concept, upon which I created a game manual developing a backstory for the desired studio space setting, and created character archetypes, power-ups, and obstacles.
Gameplay Objective: to provide players with an interactive way to learn about studio roles.
Inside inspiration: I had the most fun developing the characters! Inspired by D&D archetypes (and my appreciation of anime and gaming), I pitched a list of character names I created, connecting each archetype with a magical personna. Each character correlated to various roles within a studio. The power-ups and obstacles, in turn, were also based on items found in a work setting.

"I Can't Breathe" a micro-documentary by Snaggletooth Creative
role: producer + co-scriptwriter

I helped produce and co-write the script recounting an individual's autobiographical experience of racial injustice. We used a painterly art style to evoke the sense of something very real and human. Minimal animation over static illustrations highlighted captured moments in history and real-life accounts of human experiences.
